I am soo pleased to announce the newest, youngest, member of our
musical GroovyBabyMusic Family....Laila May Cowen!
Vanessa had to postpone her last week of classes because she was sick, then came Thanksgiving, pushing her last class VERY close to her due date! While we made arrangements for a substitute teacher, Vanessa really wanted to have the
opportunity to see you all and "sing" goodbye to all of her beloved
families. She ended up feeling up to teaching on Wednesday, but
had planned on having a sub for Friday, since she had some back
pain Thursday night. So, we decided to err on the side of caution
and call in our substitute, Ellery. When I stopped by on Friday to
see how Ellery was doing, I was shocked to see Vanessa! Ellery's
son was ill, so Vanessa stepped in to teach. What dedication! :)
I hugged her & gave her a beautiful bouquet of flowers (that I had
planned on bringing to her house,) as a thank you for being such an
amazing teacher. I couldn't get over the feeling that Vanessa was
going to have her baby that day. I even dreamed that she did..and
sure enough that night, she gave birth to a beautiful, healthy,
baby girl Laila May. It's just incredible that she actually taught
the day her baby was born. This story will go down in
GroovyBabyMusic history, and obviously also in Vanessa's family, so
it seemed just to share it with YOU, the families in our classes,
and our hearts. :)
I AM SO HAPPY TO SHARE THIS NEWS WITH YOU ALL!
As you know, Vanessa will be on maternity leave this semester, but
will surely be by for a visit.
