TEACHER NEWS: COMINGS & GOINGS!
This Winter, our beloved teacher VANESSA TRIEN took time off from teaching to spend time with her beautiful new baby, Laila..and move into a new home! It must be contagious, because this Winter our dear JULIE RAMA WINSLOW also moved, and will be giving birth to a baby boy in March! We are thrilled to have new GroovyBabies among us! :)
To her fans delight, Vanessa will be back to teach on Fridays at Temple Sinai in Brookline this Spring. YEAH! I know Julie will be missed by all of her families while she is on maternity leave this Spring. However, LAURA SABINI (me) & MIRKO TANI (my amore) will be back to cover Julie's classes on Wednesdays at Holy Trinity Church & Friday's at St. James Church in Cambridge. Mirko and I are thrilled to teach again! We are hoping Julie can join us in class with Elias and his new baby brother! She will be back this Fall to teach again.
We also have a new teacher this Spring. KRISSY PRICE is joining our team. She is a private piano teacher who specializes at working with young children. Her background in dance & yoga, spunky energy, sweet smile, and warm way with children will make her a hit with families. Krissy has been apprenticing with our teacher Kristi Vrooman this Winter, and has gotten to know some families in Charlestown. Since our Charlestown classes are always packed, we are thrilled that Krissy can offer another day of classes on Wednesdays and Friday afternoons at Charlestown Working Theater. I know she will be loved by all!
NEW LOCATION, NEW CITY........SOMERVILLE!!!
For years we have been searching for a good location in Somerville to accommodate the many families from the community who travel to join us! Finally, we have found the perfect spot. Some of you may know about the recently renovated Armory building which has been completely revamped to become a bustling Center for the Arts.
Julianne Corey, a wonderful Nia instructor, opened a dance studio in the space called Moving Celebrations. Julianne, being a mom herself, wanted to offer classes to families with young children, and immediately thought of the renowned Music Together® method. Once I met Julianne, I knew it was a perfect fit! We are so thrilled to be offering classes in Moving Celebrations on Tuesday mornings this Spring. What better teacher, than Somerville native musician ERIN BLATTI, to premiere this new site. Come rock out with Erin at the FREE DEMO CLASS Tuesday March 24th at 10am.
